LevelUP Lacquer ~ It’s Always Sunny

                                                                           *Provided for review

Monday again! And of course last night was Sunday so we were at the in laws for dinner and football! My MIL’s birthday just passed so she wanted to order pizza. So we had pizza and I made chocolate chip blondies for dessert! I think my in laws hate me for bringing them such fattening stuff all the time LOL. They love me for it at the same time though. They NEVER get any dessert out of a box from me. Always scratch made, and always something different 🙂 Don’t forget to click those links up there for recipes!! The pizza dough recipe is burned into my memory. We have been using it for years for our homemade pizzas. I suppose we should talk polish now, huh? Food always gets me sidetracked. Anywho…

Today I have a 5 piece collection from LevelUP Lacquer that’s inspired by It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia! Have you seen it? WOW… That’s all I really have to say. These polishes are actually based on 1 specific episode: season 4, episode 13. This is the only episode I watched fully and while it wasn’t terrible, it’s just not for me. I’m pretty picky about my comedy. Each polish has an inspiration pic and they are so spot on! These will be available on October 3rd at 9am Alaska Time!!

First up we have Do Not Bone Me. This one is a sunny yellow polish with micro glass fleck flakies. I used 3 thinner coats with top coat for my swatch and there was a very slight visible nail line; and I mean slight! Formula was okay, not great. It’s a yellow polish thing. Yellows usually have a picky formula so if you look at it from that angel than it was good! For the stamping I used Winstonia plates W111 & W406.

This chick is funny! 8 Or 9 Out Of 10 is a bright pink crelly polish with neon and fuchsia glitters and gold micro flakies. The flakies are pretty subtle but they are oh so purty ❤ I used 3 thin coats plus top coat for my swatch. For the art I used Winstonia plate W109. Fun Fact: I used to take part in a Madrigal Feast at my high school (huge show with all of the arts departments). My costume every year was a dress that matches this one perfectly!!

Troll Toll. Danny DeVito is the shit. Seriously. The polish is just so fitting. It has glitters that shift just like the magical unicorn pee pigment. Green to red to gold. So awesome. This is a brown that is PERFECT for fall! I used 2 remarkable coats and top coat for this swatch. Art for this polish was done with Pueen plate PUEEN05.

Dayman aaaAAAhh is a silver foil polish. The particles are big so it almost looks chunky. It lays totally smooth and goes on great! Nice and sparkly 🙂 I did not do any art on this one. Instead, I used the last polish in this set which is a glitter topper!

Laughs Are Cheap is a black and yellow glitter topper. It is full of glitter! My husband and I both thought it was a black polish with yellow glitters until I swatched it lol! The glitters lay flat and the distribution is awesome! I dabbed a little just to make sure I got some yellow glitters. I used 1 coat over Dayman aaaAAAhh with top coat. No art, just glitter 🙂

My final thought are this: wonderful polish, not so wonderful show… Troll Toll is a must have for this season!! Make sure you check out the swatch video on YouTube. Let me know down below what you think of the show and/or this specific episode! Have a great week 🙂

Vintage SinfulColors ~ Morning Dew & Sheer Legend

                                                                               *Purchased by me.

Hi friends!! I have been MIA! I went on my anniversary trip, then the day I came home I got a chest/head cold. I did, however, strike gold while we were in New Hampshire. Recently, I joined an amazing SinfulColors group on Facebook. Please join Sinfully Polished Nails HERE if you love Sinfuls!! Since joining this group, I have been introduced to vintage SC. I never realized that the SC I have now are a newer version. I was automatically on the hunt to find some of these. I had no idea how soon that would be.

With all the saving we did for our vacation, actively looking for new polish was out of the question! We did have certain things we wanted to do though while out of state. My husband has wanted to get me to this awesome place called Headlines. We always miss it because of the time or route (we frequent NH often). This time we planned our ride home around it. We spent at least 90 minutes just looking around. With all the money pretty much gone, we were just there to look. We got to the last shelf we hadn’t looked at, and right there were 7 bottles of polish. All SinfulColors, and 5 of them vintage!! I may have squealed a little. I grabbed each one. There were only 2 colors, the rest were repeats. Thankfully we saved like $10 for snacks. Who needs snacks on a 7 hour drive???? Not this polish addict 🙂 Of course, the minute I got home I had to swatch them! Ok, No more rambling. Onto the polish!

Let’s look at #222 Morning Dew. She is a sandy colored nude with matching shimmer and a frosty finish. For such an older polish, the formula was flawless. I used 3 coats plus top coat.

I added some art using #961 Fig and #1199 Song Of Summer. I used Winstonia 4th generation plate W403 and my long, clear stamper from Polished Vino.

Lastly, we have #230 Sheer Legend. Right in the name it says that it’s sheer but it wasn’t too bad! This one is an olive/khaki nude with a pink shimmer and a frosty finish. Again, the formula was super smooth. I used 3 coats with top coat.

I did some more stamping! It’s just so easy and beautiful! I used #1178 Truth Or Dare to stamp with. The plate I used was from Born Pretty Store BPL-003 and as always I used my long, clear stamper from Polished Vino!

So, what did you think? Honestly, they aren’t the type of colors I would typically go for. But, when faced with something that is no longer made, you buy, then deal with it later lol! Luckily, the colors I got are neutral so it will be easy to pair up for art and the like. I will leave links below to what I used in this post! I hope you all have a wonderful week 🙂

Drip Drop Nail Paint ~ Prototype #808

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope everyones holiday was wonderful! My family and I had a great Christmas 🙂 Now I am back and have a pile of swatches and other reviews to post! Lets check out this first beauty from Drip Drop Nail Paint. I bought a few prototype bags a while ago for me and for some nail mail ladies!! I kept more than I planned on, which was only 3, but I had to have them. This one is number 808. I think out of the 3 I have this is my favorite. It is a pastel purple with very slight holo dust scattered throughout. This formula isn’t exactly a total crème but has a touch of jellyness to it. I believe I have seen it called a cremelly. I may be crazy but either way I like it 🙂 Because the holo is so fine I had the hardest time capturing it. I did, however, make up for it with stamping!! I received some new plates and wanted to play lol. These swatches are all 3 thin smooth coats with top coat. I used Winstonia stamping plate w101 using China Glaze Seas The Day.

I love this combo!! Stay tuned for the other DDNP I have for you 🙂
