Wildflower Lacquer ~ January Birth Flower

*Provided for review
Hi everyone! I have some news to share with you from Taylor from Wildflower Lacquer! Starting on December 30th, there will be a Birth Flower polish of the month! I’m so excited to start sharing these with you! Let’s get started with the January birth flower: carnations ❤

Carnations In Bloom is “a blue base with linear holo, purple shimmer, UCC flakies that shift from purple, green, blue, and scattered silver flakies.” There are going to be some special birth flower polishes for me and this is one of them! My husbands birthday is January 30th ❤ No one in my entire life has been there for me the way he has. He is my rock and this makes me think of him every time I see it. Taylor’s formula is great! Like my ideal polish formula. Very smooth and even. I just love this one so much! I used 3 thin coats plus glossy and matte top coats for my swatch. This polish will be $8.50 USD until the end of January. On February 1st the price will raise to $10 USD.

The shimmer and flakies in Carnations In Bloom are exquisite. The absolute perfect touch 😊 Like I said above, this polish will be $8.50 USD through the month of January. On February 1st the price will raise to $10 USD and there will be a new monthly Birth Flower polish available! Carnations In Bloom will be available December 30th at 7pm CST. Write that date and time down! I may or may not have more to share with the same release date… Have a great night 😉

Hey my lovely readers! How are you on this fine 50 degree winter day??? Well, not technically winter, but seriously 50?!?! What is going on? It’s really hard to get into the holiday spirit when it doesn’t feel like the season. So today, I am bringing you so brightness. I have a new to me brand, Dimension Nails, that is 10-free, cruelty free, and 100% vegan! I have 2 polishes and a stamping plate so lets get to it!
The first polish we have is Mako Shark. It is a deep teal crème polish that is very opaque. The formula was super smooth like butter. An all around fantastic polish. I used 2 coats plus top coat for my swatch. The flash pic is color accurate. It was coming off a bit bluer without the flash.

Here is Mako Shark with some silver flakies added to it. The how-to will be in my swatch video for these babies!

The second polish is Raspberry Cordial. This one is even more opaque than Mako Shark. A total one coater if you polish carefully. I used 2 coats plus top coat for my swatch of Raspberry Cordial. Mostly just an OCD thing. Again, this polish is effortlessly applied.

**Be careful when painting and removing these polishes! Due to the highly pigmented nature of these polishes, they can stain!

The art I did over this color was using the stamping plate that I chose to review.

The stamper I chose to use ended up not being a good one for the plate. It happens. After I was done filming, I tried 2 of my other “go-to” stampers. There was a huge difference once I found THE stamper. The 3 stamper I used are a big marshmallow stamper, a silver fancy stamper, and a long clear stamper. These were my findings:

big marshmallow stamper, squishy head

fancy silver stamper, firm head

long clear stamper, medium firmness

You can clearly see the difference

This is just a better angle to show Mako Shark stamped over black

The stamping I did on my actual nails came out pretty descent. Next time I will use another stamper. The plate itself is etched perfectly.

High quality products! Did I mention the cremes watermarble?? They do! SO VERY WELL!! If you want to know where I bought the stampers I used please feel free to ask in the comments or email me! That goes for any questions or comments at all 🙂 Thank you so very much for reading all of this! You have no idea how much I really appreciate it ❤ Please make sure to check out this shop for AMAZINGLY wonderful stuff!! Have a great day everyone!

Go watch my swatch video to see what this is about ❤

Dr.’s REMEDY ~ Fall 2017 Duo

                                                                         *Provided for review

It’s Monday y’all. I haven’t done much at all this weekend. I did go to my dad’s yesterday for dinner, but that’s it. Chili and football! What could be better? Some real fall weather would be nice! Even up here in CT it is still so humid and uncomfortable. Back to work though 🙂 So, I have done posts for Dr.’s REMEDY before so I’m just gonna grab you the info then get right to the swatches! Who else loves copy &paste??
“Dr.’s REMEDY offers over 30 different shades of nail color along with nail care products such as base coat, top coat, cuticle care and a nail hydration. Each product is infused with a special blend of ingredients selected by Dr. Cirlincione and Dr. Spielfogel. This blend includes: wheat protein, tea tree oil, garlic bulb extract and lavender. Dr.’s REMEDY products do not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor or pthalates or DBP. Dr.’s REMEDY is the best alternative to traditional nail polish.”
The first of the 2 fall shades is POISED Pink Champagne. This one is a frosty, pearly, pink tinted champagne color. If you have watched my swatch video for these, you saw how messy I painted. It’s mostly because this type of polish finish will leave brush stokes if not done right. I went for short, fast, straight strokes. Ill take the extra polish on my cuticles though because the polish is worth it. The formula is just superb for this frosty type of polish ❤ For my swatch I used 3 coats plus top coat. It will be opaque in 2 coats but I used the third to make sure I covered any streaks.

The second half of this duo is a divine red with a purple shimmer. Oh ya… It’s good ❤ CHEERFUL Cherry is a magnificent crème formula. 2 perfect buttery coats and you are good to go. Now, as amazing as this polish is, it stains the skin pretty bad. You have to polish carefully so it doesn’t touch the skin at all, or as little as possible. When removing this polish, put your cotton ball (or whatever you use) with remover, straight on the nail and DON’T MOVE IT. If you rub it side to side it will just rub the red into your skin. After it sits for a minute or two, apply a little pressure and wipe straight down. It should avoid the red getting on your cuticles that way!

I did some quick stripey art with these as well!!

Overall, I love these. I don’t love the fact that the red stains the skin, but I will just be extra careful when using it. I urge you to go check out the Dr.’s REMEDY site. This is polish made by doctors and there is just so much information on their site. They offer more than polish too! Make sure you check it all out then come back and let me know what you think!! I have some fun collections coming up so I’ll see you soon 🙂 Have a great week ❤

Vintage SinfulColors ~ Morning Dew & Sheer Legend

                                                                               *Purchased by me.

Hi friends!! I have been MIA! I went on my anniversary trip, then the day I came home I got a chest/head cold. I did, however, strike gold while we were in New Hampshire. Recently, I joined an amazing SinfulColors group on Facebook. Please join Sinfully Polished Nails HERE if you love Sinfuls!! Since joining this group, I have been introduced to vintage SC. I never realized that the SC I have now are a newer version. I was automatically on the hunt to find some of these. I had no idea how soon that would be.

With all the saving we did for our vacation, actively looking for new polish was out of the question! We did have certain things we wanted to do though while out of state. My husband has wanted to get me to this awesome place called Headlines. We always miss it because of the time or route (we frequent NH often). This time we planned our ride home around it. We spent at least 90 minutes just looking around. With all the money pretty much gone, we were just there to look. We got to the last shelf we hadn’t looked at, and right there were 7 bottles of polish. All SinfulColors, and 5 of them vintage!! I may have squealed a little. I grabbed each one. There were only 2 colors, the rest were repeats. Thankfully we saved like $10 for snacks. Who needs snacks on a 7 hour drive???? Not this polish addict 🙂 Of course, the minute I got home I had to swatch them! Ok, No more rambling. Onto the polish!

Let’s look at #222 Morning Dew. She is a sandy colored nude with matching shimmer and a frosty finish. For such an older polish, the formula was flawless. I used 3 coats plus top coat.

I added some art using #961 Fig and #1199 Song Of Summer. I used Winstonia 4th generation plate W403 and my long, clear stamper from Polished Vino.

Lastly, we have #230 Sheer Legend. Right in the name it says that it’s sheer but it wasn’t too bad! This one is an olive/khaki nude with a pink shimmer and a frosty finish. Again, the formula was super smooth. I used 3 coats with top coat.

I did some more stamping! It’s just so easy and beautiful! I used #1178 Truth Or Dare to stamp with. The plate I used was from Born Pretty Store BPL-003 and as always I used my long, clear stamper from Polished Vino!

So, what did you think? Honestly, they aren’t the type of colors I would typically go for. But, when faced with something that is no longer made, you buy, then deal with it later lol! Luckily, the colors I got are neutral so it will be easy to pair up for art and the like. I will leave links below to what I used in this post! I hope you all have a wonderful week 🙂

LevelUP Lacquer ~ Temporal Flux

                                                                             *Provided for review

Hello people! How is your afternoon? Tuesday and Wednesday are the days off in this house so it’s then Ill be most quiet. Last night I painted my nails and I just felt I needed to share this amazing polish once again. Again?!?! Yep, I love this polish so much it needs its own post. You can see the original post HERE.

Temporal Flux is a part of the Intergalactic Flakies Collection. They all share the same UCC flakies. Or Ultra Chrome Chameleon flakies. For this specific polish, the base is an off white creme with a holo sparkle. This polish will forever hold a spot in my top 5 polishes EVER!! For my swatch I used 2 thin perfect coats with top coat.

I tried to add some stamping but it was not as opaque as I had hoped. It ended up being too much. Oh well, here is my fail!

I will leave a link below that will take you straight to this polish, but while you’re there give the whole store a quick look. Ashley makes amazing polish and has just quit her “big girl job” to make polish all day!!!! I hope you are as excited as I am for whats to come! Hope you have a great rest of the day ❤

Happy New Year!!

                                                                                 *Nothing to disclose

Wow what a year, huh?! 2016 took so much from so many. At the same time, I know people who have had a wonderful year. Let’s just hope that 2017 will be better all around for everyone.

This year my nails were naked for the ball drop. I wasn’t feeling nails much until I watched it. What is your favorite new years program to watch? My husband and I like to watch Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper. This was their 10 year anniversary hosting together, the aluminum anniversary for anyone who didn’t watch lol. That made me remember a super blingy polish I got in a swap from my sweet friend Heather. You can follow her HERE on IG. Any who, this polish just screams New Years/Eve. Have you heard of the brand Broadway? I hadn’t until now. Let’s see how it does!

Gunmetal (#54) is a dark charcoal jelly polish that looks black in the bottle. It has micro, tiny, and small silver holographic hexes. I used 3 thin coats of this glitter packed jelly with topcoat. I did use 2 coats of topcoat to get the smooth glass finish, but it wasn’t too bumpy after the first coat of topcoat. As with all glitter polishes, I suggest a peel off base coat for easy removal. Dry time and formula were both great with this polish.

Here is some nail art I did using a big flower charm and some firework stamping!

Charm from LevelUP Lacquer.

I really like this polish for when bling is in need.
What did you have on your nails for New Years? Let me know in the comments! Have a great day everyone ❤
