Glisten & Glow ~ Fall Holos 2021

*These polishes were provided for review

Hey y’all!! It’s almost fall. I can’t wait for the nice weather fall brings. I live in the north east and I still can barely stand the heat! I can’t imagine what it’s like in the lower states. I would fully melt lol!! How about you? What’s your favorite weather? Fall is bringing us some gorgeous polish. Let’s check out Glisten & Glow’s line up for fall!

For The Love Of Gourd is a harvest yellow holo polish with added holo micro flakes. I’m not the hugest fan of yellow polish. The formula is usually pretty picky. BUT this one is perfect! Super smooth and self leveling. No formula issues whatsoever! I used 3 buttery coats for my swatches.

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice is a burnt orange holo polish with added holo micro flakes. This shade of orange is my favorite. I mean, I love me a good neon orange but this is much more wearable through all 4 seasons. Especially fall! It is the perfect pumpkin color. I would recommend 3 thin coats for this polish. I used 2 regular coats for my swatches but I should have added that 3rd coat!

Fall Aboard! is a tomato red holo polish with added holo micro flakes. Again, this shade is just perfect for fall. It’s a softer red polish. Not as harsh as a fire engine color. This will compliment any skin tone. I used 3 perfectly smooth coats for my swatches.

Leaf Me Alone is a medium green holo polish with added holo micro flakes. This one is my favorite. The perfect green for anything!! Just an all over exquisite polish. I used 3 thin coats for my swatches.

So, on a scale of 1 to 10 how much do you love them and why is it a 10!? Kidding!! But seriously, I can’t think of any other collection that screams fall like this one. These 4 colors are the epitome of fall. Each polish will be $11.50 or you can buy the set for $40! Who doesn’t love to save a little?? The Fall Holos will release tonight, September 17th 2021 at 7pm EST. Don’t miss out on these. Between this set and the upcoming holiday collection you will have a full holo rainbow! I’ll show this soon on my IG! This is a limited collection y’all so please don’t miss out! I hope you all have an amazing weekend! Thanks for stopping by ❤

Glisten & Glow ~ September 2021 PPU

*These polishes were provided for review

Hello! Tomorrow is PPU already! This month came so quick for me. And it is by far my favorite month of the year for PPU! The theme this month is Trick or Treat!!! Have you seen the offerings? AMAZING! Today I will be showing you what Jill from Glisten & Glow has to offer. Let’s take a look!

Cats & Bats is a very vampy and mysterious dark, dark purple almost black jelly polish filled with iridescent flakes that shift from dark blue to purple and iridescent flakes that shift from pink/red/orange/green/gold. Added holo flakes and holo sparkle round out this beauty. Y’ALL!! I love this one so much. The hues of pink purple and blue are so prevalent. Jill’s inspiration was Halloween’s superstitions of black cats and the spooky bats that fly at night while trick or treating. Nailed it! This will be the perfect base for any Halloween nail art! As per the norm, this formula is fantastic. Especially being so full of flakies. You will need the other offering for PPU and that is Glitter Grabber. It will smooth out any bumps you may get from the flakies. I used 3 easy coats for my swatches.

Glitter Grabber is an amazing product that gets applied after any flakie or glitter dense manicure is done and it is fully dry and before your top coat. It aids in creating a smoother surface for your top coat or matte top coat all while “grabbing” that extra texture!

Directions: After you have applied your glitter or flakie polish and have fully let it dry, you add a nice layer of Glisten & Glow’s Glitter Grabber on top. It is a shiny formula upon application and will add that extra layer of protection and smoothing action to that texture. Allow to fully dry then add your glossy or matte top coat! It works at grabbing that extra texture that glitters or flakies can have!

Here you can see my glitter packed polish alone, then with 1 coat of Glitter Grabber, then with 1 coat of Glitter Grabber and 1 coat of top coat. You can clearly see the smooth finish it will give you!

So there you go. 2 more things for you to grab this month from PPU! I promise you’ll love them both. Glitter Grabber actually has many uses and rave reviews so please do yourself the favor! Polish Pickup will be open September 3rd at 11am EST until September 6th at 11:59pm EST.

Cats & Bats: $12.50 per bottle NO Cap

Glitter Grabber: $8 per bottle NO Cap

Swamp Gloss ~ MaryJane & Manicures Group Custom

    *I purchased this duo

Guys! I don’t know if you know but I am a huge smoker! Marijuana of course. I have my medical license before anyone freaks out! So, I follow this awesome group on Facebook called MaryJane & Manicures. For the month of July there was a custom duo for sale from Swamp Gloss polish. Katie came correct with this set. Let’s have a look.

Sssinister Sssalad is a cerulean jelly polish with a strong shimmer that shifts between green, gold, red, pink and a touch of micro holo glitters. This is just what I see, not a description given by the maker so forgive me if I’m off. It’s soooo pretty. This would make a great base for a space/galaxy mani! There is a very slight (VERY SLIGHT) visible nail line for me. Mostly because my free edge is really white. You should be fine with shorter nails or with not so white free edges. I used 3 perfectly smooth coats for my swatches.

There is also this amazing lip balm called Best Buds. It’s root beer and vanilla ice cream scented! If you like root beer floats this is just perfect for you! Best Buds ingredients are: coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, beeswax, tocopherol (vitamin E), argan oil, rosehip seed oil, EO & FO, sweetner. I have been using it every day since I got it and I can say it’s wonderful. My lips are so soft!

Sadly, I’m pretty sure this is no longer available. I do apologize for that but maybe you could find it in a destash eventually. It really is worth keeping an eye out for. Either way I will link Swamp Gloss below! Thanks so much for stopping by ❤

    Glisten & Glow ~ August 2021 PPU-IPU

*These polishes were provided for review

Hey y’all! It’s almost that time again. Polish Pickup is coming up really fast this month. As usual Jill of Glisten & Glow is bringing you the goods! The theme this month is elements: earth, air, fire, water. Jill’s inspiration is one of the most beautiful concert venues in the US, Red Rocks Amphitheatre located in Morrison, Colorado. The sunsets, reflections off the amazing rocks and the starry skies is breathtaking. Let’s check it out!

Nights at Red Rocks is a rich burgundy jelly polish loaded with red, orange, pink, gold, green iridescent flakes with micro holo flakes and a touch of holo magic. Y’all, I have worn this 4 times already. I freaking love love love it!! At extreme angles the flakes go blue and it’s just fantastic! I really just can’t say enough about this polish. What’s crazy is the fact that I never would have chosen this polish for myself. I’m just a little in shock about how much I like this lol! I think I could have used 3 coats but because it is so flakie dense I did only 2 coats for my swatches.

Jill also has her top coat available for IPU! You can see it showcased in any of my pics. It’s all I use. This bottle was PR but I regularly buy myself top coat from Glisten & Glow. It’s just the best!

Glisten & Glow Top Coat is an award winning fast dry glossy top coat. The benefits are:

    • 2-4 minutes or less and your nails will be dry, durable, long lasting with days or weeks of no tip wear or chipping!
    • Crystal clear, shiny, glossy “wet/gel like” appearance
    • Seals and evens glitters and flakie polishes
    • Non smearing for nail art
    • Glows under black light

So, you need them right?! I so highly suggest you grab Nights at Red Rocks! Polish Pickup will be open August 6th at 11am EST until August 9th at 11:59pm EST

    • Nights at Red Rocks: $12.50. No Cap!
    • Top Coat: $7.50. NO Cap!

Set your alarms and don’t miss it! I hope you all have a great rest of your week. Thanks so much for stopping by ❤

  • Glisten & Glow ~ Beach, Please Summer Crellies 2021

*These polishes were provided for review

You didn’t think Jill was done with summer did you?! Nope! Here she is with 3 neon glitter crelly polishes! Polishes you will definitely need before summer is over. Let’s get right to it!

Good Times & Tan Lines is a white based glitter crellies packed with neon glitters in pink, orange, yellow, light orange, green, purple and watermelon. This one is so fun and colorful. Tons of glitter in there so no fishing required! Formula was wonderful for a white crelly! I used 3 coats for my swatches.

Pool Hair, Don’t Care is a bleached green neon glitter crelly packed with neon glitters in blue, orange, yellow, watermelon, and light orange. This one reminds me of pool balls. No idea why but it does! The colors together just make magic with this base color. Just an awesome shade. I used 2 coats for my swatches.

Nama’ Stay At The Beach is a grape purple glitter crelly with neon glitters in yellow, green, and pink. I think this one is my favorite. Absolutely love the base color. I actually think this one dries a tad darker than it looks in the bottle. Formula was great! I used 2 coats for my swatches.

The Beach, Please Summer Crellies will be available tomorrow, July 9th, at 7pm EST. Each polish will be $10 or you can buy the set for $28! You might as well just buy the set since you save some money lol!! Let me know what you’re grabbing in the comments! Links below for your shopping pleasure! Have a great weekend y’all! Glisten & Glow ~ July rewind PPU-IPU 2021

*Truly Outrageous 2.0 & Glitter Grabber were provided for review. Pink In The City was purchased by me.

Hey! How are we all doing? How was your weekend? Mine was uneventful. Boring to the max actually lol. Coming up this weekend is Polish Pickup! Are we ready? Are our wallets ready? Let’s check out what Jill from Glisten & Glow has to offer!

Truly Outrageous 2.0 is a blurple crelly polish with different shapes and sizes of pink glitters and pink holo glitters. This 2.0 version is slightly more purple than the original polish. I actually like this base color a little more and I feel that the formula was even a little better. All around just a super smooth formula. I used 3 thin coats but you could probably get away with just 2 regular coats. “Truly Outrageous is inspired by the popular 80’s tv series – Jem and The Holograms! Funny Story, when Jill was in kindergarten she LOVED Jem, since Jem was her favorite she decided that she would rename herself Jem. So on all her papers and school work she wrote her name as Jem. The teachers called her Jem even. When her parents went to the first parent teacher conferences, the teacher said Oh your daughter Jem is just a delight. They said Our daughter name is Jill and everyone had a huge laugh!”

Pink In The City is a neon pink jelly polish jam packed with color shifting iridescent flakies that shift between dark blue and purple. This one is so electric in person! You all need this one in your life! I used 3 thin coats for my swatches. Inspiration: Sarah Jessica Parker’s hot pink, ’80s-inspired Zac Posen gown worn at the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala in 2019. She also paired the look with two mismatched heels from her own fashion line. This was a nod to her Sex in the City character Carrie Bradshaw, who adopted the quirky styling trick on the show.

Glitter Grabber is an amazing product that gets applied after any glitter or flakie dense manicure is done and it’s fully dry and before your top coat. It aids in creating a smoother surface for your top coat or matte top coat all while “grabbing” that extra texture! Directions: After you have applied your glitter or flakie polish and have fully let it dry, you add a nice layer of Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber on top. It is a shiny formula upon application and will add that extra layer of protection and smoothing action to that texture. Allow to fully dry and then add your glossy or matte top coat! It works at grabbing that extra texture that glitter or flakies can have! In order the pics are as follows: No glitter Grabber, 1 coat Glitter Grabber, 1 coat Glitter Grabber & 1 coat top coat.

So, for July, there are polishes available at Polish Pickup and some are available in the makers shop. PPU shop will be open from July 2nd – July 5th.

    • Truly Outrageous 2.0 – $12.50 PPU shop – no cap
    • Glitter Grabber – $8.00PPU shop – no cap

  • Dr.’s Remedy ~ Rise & Shine Collection

*These polishes were provided for review

Happy Friday y’all! Comin at ya with some perfect-for-summer goodness! Not to mention the most healthy nail polish option out there. Don’t quote me on that but I’m pretty sure it is! Dr.’s Remedy Enriched Nail Polish has great things added like tea tree oil, garlic bulb extract, vitamin C, wheat protein, and much more. The formula is also 10 free! Nothing you don’t want and all the things you do want all in one place. I’ll Link you HERE for more great info on this brand. Now let’s get into the polish.

SERENE Salmon is a bright peachy pink creme polish. This is a 2 coat polish for sure. My pics use 3 coats because of my air conditioning issues. Remember that? Well, it was an on going issue until like 3 days ago! My polish just kept bubbling and no matter what I did nothing worked to help it. I tried 7 different base coats but it ended up just being too hot in my apartment. I was even sent this set twice just in case it was a formula issue. I promise you it’s not. My polish was just not drying or applying correctly. Anyways, here is 3 coats of SERENE Salmon.

MAGNIFICENT Magenta is a bright orchid creme polish. Again, this is a 2 coat polish but ya know… AC problems. Such a beautiful color. I really love this one. I used 3 coats for my swatches.

I also used TOTAL Two-In-One as my base and top coat. As a base coat this polish helps strengthen and encourage nail growth while as a top coat, bringing top notch UV protection to prolong the life of your manicure! Such a great product to have in your collection!

My camera washed out just how bright these colors actually are. I would look at the macros for color accuracy. These polishes are all available now so don’t wait to pick them up! They are a little on the pricey side to be honest but they are so worth every penny. If you get them let me know and we can do twin nails! Each polish is $17.25 and TOTAL Two-In-One is $19.95. Or you can buy the trio for $49! Grab it now while it’s on sale! I Hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by ❤

Taylor Made Polish ~ Summer Neutrals 2021

So here I am, late as usual. When I said I wanted to blog the next day I totally forgot it was Father’s Day weekend. We had dinner plans and all kinds of other stuff going on. I am so absent minded sometimes. I apologize for that! Anyways, today I have for you the Summer Neutrals from Taylor Made Polish. Let’s jump right in.

Love Letter is a soft pink crelly polish. This one is so cute and girly. This formula was a little picky so polish carefully. Don’t use too many strokes. The final result is a beautiful shade of baby pink. I used 3 coats for my swatches.

Smoke Show is a sheer grey shimmer polish with a touch of added silver sparkle. This one is my favorite. Again, the formula was a tad patchy. I actually think this polish would make/be better as a topper! She is definitely breathtaking though. I used 3 thin coats for my swatches.

“You’re a Natural!” is a light nude creme polish. I really wanted to love this one but I just couldn’t. This formula was not too fun at all. It was very patchy and not self leveling in the slightest. Definitely not my favorite. I used 3 coats for my swatches.

Overall, this was not what I was expecting from Taylor Made Polish! I guess it could just be me but I didn’t have the best time with these 3 polishes. I definitely would still recommend Smoke Show! Like I said it will make a great topper. Each of these polishes will be $10 per bottle, $27 for the neutrals trio, or $54 for all 6 polishes brights and neutrals! Let me know what you think in the comments! I hope you all have a great rest of your week! Thanks for stopping by ❤

Taylor Made Polish ~ Summer Brights 2021

    *These polishes were gifted

Hello! Today I am bringing you some polish I was recently gifted. I have never been gifted anything like this so I was over the moon. The entire summer collection from Taylor Made Polish consisting of 6 full sized polishes. I’ll be showing you the brights now and the neutrals hopefully tomorrow. Let’s get to it, shall we?

Sun Kissed & Lemon Twists is a bright sunshine yellow creme polish. So fun and summery. It makes me feel fresh ya know? As with most yellows the first coat was a tad streaky. It built up nicely in 3 coats. I used 3 coats for my swatches.

Siren is a muted red creme polish. This is a pretty unique red for me anyways. I really love it Formula is great and opaque in 2-3 coats. This will depend on the length and free edge of your nails. I used 2 coats for my swatches.

Hey Babe! is a medium electric blue creme polish. This one was the best of the 3 brights. Formula was perfect in 2 coats. And I just love this shade of blue! I used 2 coats for my swatches.

This is not the only brand doing the primary color thing this summer and I am really loving it! What are your thoughts on this? These polishes are available now for $10 each, $27 for the set of brights, or $54 for the whole 6 piece collection, brights and neutrals! Links below! Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by<3

Saki Cosmetics & 1422 Designs ~ Summer Collab

*These polishes were provided for review

Hello!! Long time no blog. I honestly just haven’t been swatching much. I have been painting still just not posting. But here we are with some new stuff. Let’s have a look.

Bahama Mama is a shimmery coral pink. The shimmer in this polish is just breathtaking. Formula, as expected, was wonderful. Bahama Mama would look amazing worn to the beach! I used 3 thin coats for my swatches.

Jamaican Breeze is an orchid crelly polish with purple-pink-gold shifting shimmer and purple holo dust. I love how subtle the holo is. Such a nice little added sparkle. Highly impressed by this new to me indie brand! I used 3 thin coats for my swatches.

What do you think? Purples and pinks always go together in my opinion. These are no exception. Fun Fact: In my YouTube swatch video I used 2 songs. The names of the songs, in order, are Summer and Dreams. Thought that was really neat for the Summer Dreams Collab! These polishes will be available in Saki Cosmetics shop as a pre-order from February 21st – 28th. This set will be 25 CAD (20 USD). Will you be grabbing this duo? Let me know in the comment section below. Have a great day y’all ❤
