Formula X ~ Infinite Ombre

Hello!! I hope everyone had/is having a wonderful Saturday! Gorgeous weather here in CT 🙂 And what am I doing you ask?! I am sitting here bringing you a nifty new Formula X Infinite Ombre nail kit! This kit was provided  for free from PreenMe and Sephora to test and create new looks with. Per the norm, I have swatches first! I was really excited to try this new trend in polish! These are supposed to be the more pigmented version of sheer jellys. The kit comes with 4 colors and a silver base called Platinum Prime. I do not have swatches of Platinum Prime because it was just your average silver metallic polish. If you would like to see a swatch just let me know in the comments and I will add it for you 🙂 The other four polishes were all the same amazing jelly formula. It was a step above a jelly though. Like a jelly+ polish lol. For each polish I did one finger that did not use the base. Either way I loved most of them. Have a look!

Infinite Indigo is an deep inky blue that leans slightly purple in real life. This is 2 coats over Platinum Prime on all but my index finger, all with a glossy top coat. The top coat was strictly for drying purposes because these have a wet shine look on their own!! The index finger looks almost blackened without the shine of the silver base. Love it both ways equally!

Timeless Teal is a deep teal that looks almost like an emerald color in real life (ya know, cuz this is a dream lol!). This looks pretty streaky in pics but it didn’t to my eyes! This is 2 coats over Platinum Prime on all but my ring finger. That is 2 coats alone. All with a glossy top coat. Beautiful color!

Boundless Berry is a sexy bold red. I kept oohing and ahhing with every brush stroke! This one is a little more sheer than the first 2 because of its lighter color. I used 2 coats over Platinum Prime on all but my middle finger. That is 2 coats alone. All with a glossy top coat. I think this may be my favorite. So classic!

Limitless Lemon is my least favorite. Just not a huge fan of yellow unless its highlighter yellow or pastel yellow. This will be great for blending though. 2 coats over Platinum Prime on all but my pinky. That is 2 coats alone all with glossy top coat. Over the Platinum Prime it is a bright yellow. On its own it is very yolky looking. Like over easy egg yolk.

Overall, I love these! I can’t wait to play with these after my chores tonight! That’s right! I am 30 and I still call housework chores lol! Which one is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!!

Hi! I am here to add on some recent looks I created using these polishes! I will be getting a new tripod next week so videos to come for all the looks I will be adding!
WATERMARBLE! They work wonderfully for watermarbling!

Next we have some advanced/reverse stamping. This is always fun with a beautiful outcome… but super time consuming. For me anyways. I don’t have steady hands at all!

The last 2 looks used all of the colors over a solid base of Platinum Prime. This next look uses only Limitless Lemon and Boundless Berry in a gradient over a stamped design using Platinum Prime over my bare nail. I really loved the look of this one!

Which look is your favorite and what would you like to see in a video?

My True Love Creations ~ Valentine’s Day Trio

Hello again! How are we all doing? Most of you, I’m sure, are prepping for the romantic day that is Valentine’s Day! I, on the other hand am prepping for an INTENSE week I have coming up!! Between my sister and I, we have managed to have 4 kids within 2 weeks of each other! Heres the breakdown! Abigail, my oldest, will be 12 on March 4th. Mary-Jane, my sisters daughter, will be 1 on March 5th. Keira, my youngest, will be 9 on March 10th. And finally, my sister is due with a little boy on March 12th! Can you believe that?! Hmmmm, this blog is supposed to be about polish you say? Fine with me! Here it is!! The best work from Cherise yet!! I just love her polish! I always gush to my husband while swatching lol. For the Valentines Day trio there are 2 awesomely squishy jellies and 1 very pretty, girly glitter. Lets start with Cupid’s Crush. There is nothing better than a bold red jelly that is super juicy and practically applies itself! I did leave a little extra dry time between coats because jellies definitely drag if not dry. There was not one single issue with this polish at all, actually for any of these! Here is Cupid’s Crush. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy topcoat. On my accent I used Stardust, also one of MTL’s polishes!

Next is The Nights Affair. This was the same formula as CC, just a deep plumy purple instead of red. Smooth as butter! This is 3 coats with a glossy topcoat. On my accent I used a large heart stud that I got in a swap at some point.

This Macro is under a different light on my desk but this is more color accurate!

Lastly, I have Sweet Emotions. This is a glitter in a clear base. There are micro holo silver glitters, small purple hexes, and medium lavender hexes. Its so girly and fun! I did a sideways gradient using a pastel pink and purple, then used one coat of Sweet Emotions on top! All with a glossy topcoat of course! Great formula as usual and no fishing at all!

Hope you enjoyed these as much as I have and will!!

Nicole by OPI ~ Challenge Red-y

Hey!!! Its been a while since i posted. I just moved and its taken a while to get settled. But i am back and have a gorgeous polish to show uou. This is challenge red-y from Nicole by OPI. In the store one day i saw a special k bars box that said collect codes for free polish. Naturally i grabbed 5 boxes. When i got home i checked the fine print and all i had to do was enter 8 codes online. Those 8 codes got me a three piece collection. A pink a blue and this red. (I will show u the pink and blue in the next few posts :)) you can get just one bottle. That will take 3 codes. Not sure if you chose the color though. Anyways, this is such a pretty red. It looked so blah and basic in the bottle but as i put the coats on it seemed to get deeper in color. The formula was nice. Did have a few bald spots after 3 coats but the forth coat fixed that right up. Although using four coats is a bit excessive. I believe this is supposed to be a creme polish but it seemed more like a crelly to me! I decided to add a glitter gradient to it with this awesome gold holo glitter topcoat from nina ultra pro. The name is just holographic topcoat lol. Hope hou all enjoy the pics 🙂

Some changes…

I am about to be moving soon and that means… NO BUY 😦  So i believe the time has come to do lots of swatching slash reviews 🙂 i just recieved some new babies in the mail from another contest win so i will start with those 🙂  For now, i leave you with my manicure today! I used color club in twiggie, ruby wing in eternal, sally hansen complete salon manicure in the skys the limit, and sinful colors in ocean side. I topped it with a thin layer of polish addict nail color in watermelon crush. Which you will be seeing soon 🙂 Enjoy!
