Dr.’s Remedy ~ Peace, Love, Sunshine Trio

*These polishes were provided for review

Hello! How has your week been? Mine has been pretty typical of a stay at home mom with a 6 month old! My son is just a super happy baby so its almost all fun… almost lol. Today I am bringing you the Peace, Love, Sunshine Collection from Dr.’s Remedy. Remember them? I have had them on my blog a few times. In case you don’t, here is some info. Dr.’s Remedy polishes are formulated by doctors. They are vegan and totally safe to use. I won’t weigh this post down so I am going to link their info HERE. Please go visit and see what they have to offer. Oh! One more thing. The polishes are filled with things like: tea tree oil, biotin, wheat protein, and other vitamins! Ok. Moving on.

Sweet Soleil is a soft buttery yellow creme polish. I expected to have issues with the application but I had none!! Yellows can be picky so I was very happily surprised. The formula of this polish is perfectly creamy while also being very opaque. If you polish on the thicker side you could get away with 1 coat. I used 2 coats for my swatches.

POLISHED Pale Peach is a gorgeous pale peachy pink. This color leaned nude as well. This is perfect for the end of summer. PPP is also a super work friendly color. Just one of those super simple must haves. Again, this was really opaque. Well, they are all very opaque. I used 2 coats for my swatch.

TACTFUL Turmeric is the perfect sunset yellow-orange. Ya know the one I mean? The super bold sun? That one! TT really stands out on the nail. It has an extremely nice creme formula. This is screaming summer to me. I used 2 smooth coats for me swatch.

Overall this collection really comes through for the later part of summer. Not even gonna try and say that I won’t use these all year because I will. They are just completely effortless to apply. The Peace, Love, Sunshine Collection is actually all sold separately so you don’t have to get all three together. You can mix and match with any of their colors. Dr.’s Remedy polishes are $17.25 a piece. Absolutely worth it considering the ingredients and quality. Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope to see you soon 🙂

Dr.’s REMEDY ~ Spring 2019 Duo

*Provided for review
It’s the weekend y’all! As much as I would love to be happy with most of you, Friday is actually my Tuesday lol. My weekend is Tuesday and Wednesday. Either way, I have some new stuff to brighten our night 😁 Dr.’s REMEDY is the ultimate polish for nail health. Keep reading for more info and links. For now, let’s check out the goods!
PERFECT Petal Pink is a sheer baby pink crelly polish. The formula on this polish was a tad picky. I find colors like this in a crelly formula can often be picky so it’s really on track with other polishes. This is perfect for French manicures or just swipe on 1 quick coat for a pink tint to your nails. Also great for glitter sammiches!! I could not help myself when I polished. I had to do French tips 💖 I used 3 thin coats plus top coats for my swatches.

SOULFUL Slate Blue is a heathered blue crème polish. Absolutely fantastic! This baby could easily be a 1 coater. It goes on nice a smooth. Everything about this color is amazing. I feel that this is one of those colors that would look great on any skin tone. It’s just so very pretty. I used 2 coats plus top coats for my swatches.

Dr.’s REMEDY ~ Fall 2017 Duo

                                                                         *Provided for review

It’s Monday y’all. I haven’t done much at all this weekend. I did go to my dad’s yesterday for dinner, but that’s it. Chili and football! What could be better? Some real fall weather would be nice! Even up here in CT it is still so humid and uncomfortable. Back to work though 🙂 So, I have done posts for Dr.’s REMEDY before so I’m just gonna grab you the info then get right to the swatches! Who else loves copy &paste??
“Dr.’s REMEDY offers over 30 different shades of nail color along with nail care products such as base coat, top coat, cuticle care and a nail hydration. Each product is infused with a special blend of ingredients selected by Dr. Cirlincione and Dr. Spielfogel. This blend includes: wheat protein, tea tree oil, garlic bulb extract and lavender. Dr.’s REMEDY products do not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, camphor or pthalates or DBP. Dr.’s REMEDY is the best alternative to traditional nail polish.”
The first of the 2 fall shades is POISED Pink Champagne. This one is a frosty, pearly, pink tinted champagne color. If you have watched my swatch video for these, you saw how messy I painted. It’s mostly because this type of polish finish will leave brush stokes if not done right. I went for short, fast, straight strokes. Ill take the extra polish on my cuticles though because the polish is worth it. The formula is just superb for this frosty type of polish ❤ For my swatch I used 3 coats plus top coat. It will be opaque in 2 coats but I used the third to make sure I covered any streaks.

The second half of this duo is a divine red with a purple shimmer. Oh ya… It’s good ❤ CHEERFUL Cherry is a magnificent crème formula. 2 perfect buttery coats and you are good to go. Now, as amazing as this polish is, it stains the skin pretty bad. You have to polish carefully so it doesn’t touch the skin at all, or as little as possible. When removing this polish, put your cotton ball (or whatever you use) with remover, straight on the nail and DON’T MOVE IT. If you rub it side to side it will just rub the red into your skin. After it sits for a minute or two, apply a little pressure and wipe straight down. It should avoid the red getting on your cuticles that way!

I did some quick stripey art with these as well!!

Overall, I love these. I don’t love the fact that the red stains the skin, but I will just be extra careful when using it. I urge you to go check out the Dr.’s REMEDY site. This is polish made by doctors and there is just so much information on their site. They offer more than polish too! Make sure you check it all out then come back and let me know what you think!! I have some fun collections coming up so I’ll see you soon 🙂 Have a great week ❤

Dr.’s Remedy

                                                                        *Provided for review/press sample

Hello nail lovers!! Isn’t it wonderful when you can combine beauty with health?! This brand does just that. Made by podiatrists when they realized that most of their patients issues revolved around brittle or discolored nails. Here is some info directly from their site!

You can find more info about the doctors and see the full line of colors and treatments by clicking the link at the bottom of this post. For now I will show you what I got and let you know how I feel overall.

Lets get started with SUBTLE Sunshine. The description given is “A soft, golden yellow with a sprinkle of shine.” That’s pretty accurate. It’s a sheer golden yellow with very fine glass fleck shimmer. This one can be worn alone or over other similar color cremes for an instant soft bling. The formula on this was wonderful and dried nice and smooth. I used 3 coats with top coat.

The next polish I chose was NURTURE Nude Pink. ” Barely there beautiful with a hint of iridescence.” This one was not exactly that. It is a gorgeous peachy nude polish with a very subtle shimmer that to me looks hot pink. This is my type of nude polish. I liked it a lot on my skin tone. The shimmer was sooo hard to capture. Pretty sure you can only see it in the macro. I used 2 coats with top coat for my swatch.

Next up is HOPEFUL Hot Pink. This one says, “The perfect ultra bright pink, almost neon and perfectly matte.”  Again, this was not really the case…

Firstly, sorry about the dry, messy cuticles. This was taken in between coats. This is the first coat and it is fully dry. See anything weird? THE SHINE!  It says it’s a matte polish but I could have gotten away with out a top coat, it was so shiny. That being said, I love this one. Perfect formula, bright happy color, just not matte. At all. Here is my “official”swatch pics. I used 2 flawless coats with top coat.

Last polish I picked was a classic red creme. RESCUE Red is described as,  “A classic fire engine red.” This is the most accurate description of them all. It really needs no explaining. I used 2 perfect coats plus top coat for my swatch.

Overall, these polishes are great. I highly recommend them if you are trying to go healthy with your polish. Or if you want to heal your nails while keeping your tips polished. Or maybe you just like the colors. Whatever the reason, this stuff is amazing. I noticed it didn’t have a strong scent at all. That made me super happy because I get pretty bad headaches from the fumes of polish. I also noticed how wonderful the formula was. The creme polish is almost crelly like while still having the full coverage of a creme. Please do yourself a favor and at least check out their site and what they are all about. As always links are below! I hope you all have a good night!! See you tomorrow with some new stuff 🙂
