*These polishes were provided for review in 2018
Hi! Today’s post is a little bit of a rewind post. We are headed back to 2018 with a few polishes from the brand Quixotic. Very sadly, this brand is no longer in business. I just was going through my stash and I thought these could use a second look. You can see my past posts for these polishes Here and Here. Ok let’s get to it.
How Merlot Can You Go is a creamy merlot base absolutely jam packed with bronze/gold/green flakes and a sweet dash of holographic sparkles. This is definitely a jelly polish. I absolutely love this polish as a whole. It’s just breath taking. I am super happy I remembered these in time for the season! And can we talk about the label? How cute is that tiny wine bottle. The others are just as cute so watch for that. I used 3 thin coats for my swatches.
Chartreuse Swizzle is an ultra bright neon chartreuse with glowing linear holographic effect and subtle red shimmer to give it a lit from within feel. Yes, this is ultra bright, but it is not a true neon. It does not glow under black light. The shimmer to me is more orange. Which for the time of year fits better in my humble opinion. This is more of a creme base than HMCYG. I love this polish but there are definitely better options out there for a green holo. That being said, I am still happy to own this! I used 3 thin coats for my swatches.
Keep Your Eye On The Fall is a sweet burnt orange multichrome polish that shifts between red/orange/gold/green and packed with linear holo, holo micro flakes, and holo sparks. This polish is wonderful. I don’t think I like it as much this time around but it’s still great! I’m just not a huge fan of the base color I guess. Which is weird because I love multichromes and I love orange. Idk. Anyways, this polish is pretty much flawless. Excellent application. I love the holo flakes. I used 2 thin coats for my swatches.
Deciduous is a warm, greyed out cerulean blue crelly with bright red/orange/gold flakies and a subtle holo spark. This is a perfect crelly formula. I really love that it’s not over loaded with flakies. It’s just here and there and I love that subtle flake look. I do agree with my last post for this polish. The lighting your in changes everything! So many faces to this awesome polish. I used 3 thin coats for my swatches.
I know these are no longer available but I still hope you enjoyed this post. I may do more of this in the future. I’m on a VERY strict no buy until further notice so I’ll be shopping my stash more often! Let me know if there is anything you would like to see! Here is where I would say links below but this brand is no longer around so just a good bye! Have a great day y’all! Thanks so much for stopping by ❤
