Hey peeps! How is your hump day? Today is Saturday for me so it’s been pretty quiet here. I don’t want to weigh this down with extra stuff so for all the deets, read Part 1! I will also put some info at the end of this post. Now we can dive right in to the polish.
Glitter Lips is “Red. Sparkly. Glamorous. A prerequisite of stage, the sexy look of red glitter lips is one of the most recognized elements of burlesque. Glitter Lips is a bright candy apple nail color with shades of scarlet, maroon, crimson and vermilion red micro glitter. This gorgeous red has a scattered holographic finish that works perfectly with it’s cranberry jelly-type base. Opacity is reached in 2-3 coats and top coat is recommended. If a pink glitter shade is more up your alley, see Glitter Lips‘ glourious cousin The Rhinestone Housewife!” I love a good red and this one has that slight texture that I also love so much! I used 3 thin coats plus top coat! Glitter Lips will be $12.50 USD.

I added some valentine’s art to this one ❤

Next is Boy-lesque. “Considered part of the Neo-Burlesque revival, boylesque is the term used to describe male performers in burlesque. While boylesque was not invented in Seattle, Seattle enjoys a vast variety of talented performers. This color is a soft khaki green with warm brown undertones and it applies like a dream. It’s both masculine and feminine at the same time, with a light green shimmer and flawlessly smooth minky finish.” This one is so unique. I have never seen anything like it. I used 2 coats with topcoat for this one. Boy-lesque will be $11.50.

I paired this with gold and swirls.

Burly-Q is awesome!”A nickname many performers use for burlesque. Burly-Q the nail color, starts with a stunning jungle-green base and contains scattered multi-sized opalescent glitter in shades of blues and lime greens. There is a multitude of green/blue and turquoise holographic micro glitter. It’s also lightly sprinkled with subtle pink/purple sparks, giving the jelly polish an astonishing depth. The squishy teal base is perfect for yielding to each of the fine elements; truly dimensional!” So mermaid like. I used 3 thin coats plus top coat. Burly-Q will be $12.50 USD.

Here is some art I did.

I don’t know why that flash shot is upside down. It’s not like that on my laptop?? Anywho, next up is Neo-burlesque. “Neo-Burlesque is the revival of burlesque performance. Though based on the traditional Burlesque art, the new form encompasses a wider range of performance and neo-burlesque acts can range from classic striptease to modern dance to comedic and witty parody. For 2018 color of the year, Neo-Burlesque was created with an ultra-violet purple base and packed with gold/copper chrome micro-flecks. Scattered throughout is an ultra-fine holographic dust and electric blue flecks. The finish is smooth as butter and in the direct sun, you’ll see a beautiful linear holographic effect.” Holy cow is this purple perfect! I used 2 coats with top coat for my swatch. This one will be available for $12.50 USD.

I did art for this one but I wasn’t happy with it so I never took pics.
This last one is called Show At Midnight and it’s my favorite! “Burlesque being a slightly subversive form of entertainment, frequently shows were speak easy style and later in the evening. A salute to the midnight hour, this polish is a shimmering, deep navy with scattered holographic glitter and an ever-so-subtle lapis blue sparkle. It’s everything you’d imagine when envisioning the dimensionally deep sky and tiny far-off galaxies.” Seriously a super stunner. Getting lost in this beauty is so easy. I used 2 coats with top coat but 1 coat would do it. This one will be $12.50 USD.

I added some night sky art to this baby.

That’s the whole Jet City Burlesque collection! This collection will be available in a mini (8 ml) set for $72.00 USD. Full sized (13 ml) will be available singly for the prices listed. They will also be available as a full size set for $110 USD. They are exclusive to The Rhinestone Housewife shop! “This collection was inspired by the Seattle burlesque scene that I was part of way back in the day. The burly-Q revival was fabulous and vibrant and I will always have fun remembering how we used to race from one gig to another on a Saturday night.” These will be releasing on February 14th, 2018. Now that you have seen them all, what one is your favorite? Make sure to visit my YouTube for the corresponding live swatches. Have a good rest of he week ❤
