Glisten & Glow ~ August 2022 PPU

*These products were provided for review

Hey! Can you believe it’s August already? I feel like I say this every month but damn. It just goes so fast! As usual Jill from Glisten & Glow is bringing you some fire! A reflective glitter polish and a cuticle oil/remover duo. Let’s have a look.

Poor Unfortunate Souls (You sang it too right?) is a black based jelly polish loaded with color shifting ucc flakes that shift from purple/blue/pink/red/orange/green. It has the added twinkle of purple reflective glitters. Did you know that reflective glitters are triangles? The inspiration for this polish is… you guessed it! The popular, dark, and mysterious Disney villain Ursula from the hit movie The Little Mermaid. This polish is the sh*t. Seriously, it’s just so freaking cool looking. And as a bonus it glows under black light! I’ve included a glow pic 🙂 This formula is on the thicker side but nothing that will interfere with polishing. It also dries slightly textured so you will want to swing by Jill’s shop and grab some Glitter Grabber. I used 2 coats plus Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat for my swatches.

Also available is the Cuticle Oil and Cuticle Remover Duo in the scent Sun & Sand. Oh my gosh you guys! It’s the beach in your palms!! As I type I have already finished my cuticle remover pen. It immediately became my favorite and I used the hell out of it lol. Someone once told me they want a beach scent with no coconut! They said it was impossible to find. Well my dear, whoever you are (it’s been years) this is for you. Scent description: A tropical beach breeze of sweet orange flower, lemony citrus, fresh lavender, and powdery musk. I have no idea how that translates to beach but it does.

Glisten & Glow‘s Cuticle Remover softens and removes excess cuticle as well as eponychium skin and comes in an easy to use twist-up pen style applicator. Directions: Apply generously to the cuticle area and let sit for 60 seconds. Next, gently push back your cuticles with your favorite tool. Finally, wash hands and cuticles thoroughly with soap and water. G&G Cuticle Remover pen contains: distilled water, potassium hydroxide, coconut oil, and fragrance.

Glisten & Glow’s Cuticle Oil hydrates cuticles, nail plate, eponychium, hyponychium, and proximal nail fold. Softens and protects all of the above areas. Stimulates nail growth. Improves texture to all of the areas listed above. Increases nail flexibility, preventing breakage. Is a daily nail care maintenance. G&G Cuticle Oil pen is a custom blend of Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E oil, grapeseed oil, sweet almond
oil, sunflower oil, argan oil, castor oil, acai berry extract, tea tree oil and fragrance oil.

Poor Unfortunate Souls: $13 NO CAP

Cuticle Remover/Oil Duo: $12.50 NO CAP

These products will be available this Friday August 5th – August 8th at 11:59pm EST. You don’t want to miss out on these for real! Wish listing is open now so go get your stuff picked out now so check out is a breeze. I hope you have a great rest of your week. Thanks so much for stopping by ❤

Glisten & Glow ~ Tiny Dancer

*I bought this polish

Hey y’all! Stopping in for a super quick post. Just want to show you Glisten & Glow‘s new, discounted, VERY limited polish, Tiny Dancer. This is my dad’s song for me so this polish is extra special for me ❤ Let’s check it out.

Tiny Dancer is a purple based jelly polish loaded with color shifting UCC flakes that shift from purple/blue/pink/red/orange/green. it also has the added twinkle of purple reflective glitters. Jill is killing the purple polishes lately!! This one was perfect with 3 thin coats. You could get away with 2 thicker coats if that’s your thing! Formula was super smooth but it will dry slightly textured because of the dense flakes and reflective glitters. Make sure you get some Glitter Grabber while you’re in Jill’s shop! I used 3 thin coats with Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coats for my swatches.

My dad just loves Elton John and I haven’t been able to stop singing Tiny Dancer since I ordered this polish. I hope you all love it just as much as I do<3 This is very limited, not even going to swatchers! It’s also on sale right now for $7.50 a bottle!!! Run and grab it before it sells out forever. This can’t even technically be remade because Jill didn’t write down the recipe lol!! Anywho, I hope you all have a great night! Thanks so much for stopping by ❤

Fomo Lacquer ~ Holo Hooker

*I bought this

Hey! How’s it going? I am a little late in posting this but I bought it so there wasn’t really a time line. Anywho, I used to be obsessed with a polish that was from the brand Lacquerlicious called Strawberry Cosmo. I never was able to get my hands on that polish. Til now! This is not the exact polish but it is very reminiscent of SC! Enter Holo Hooker. As soon as I saw it my heart fluttered a little. I needed to have it. I am on a very strict no buy though. I cried about it to my husband enough that he let me break the no buy for an early birthday present. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to my new love ❤

Holo Hooker is a Jelly based polish with 7 different blends of glitters in 4 different shades between pink hues and purples. A variety of sizes and colors of the glitter were used to achieve a deep looking depth and heavy coverage in just 2 coats. Y’all I love her so much! This is definitely a 2 coater although I did use 3 for my swatches. I just wanted more glitter to be honest lol. I know I’m a little ridiculous. I used 3 thin coats plus Glitter Grabber, top coat, and matte top coats for my swatches. I also did a little nod to Strawberry Cosmo for art.

What do you think? Unfortunately, this was a 1 run and done. There were 89 bottles and it sold out in just over an hour! As you can see I almost missed out. I was number 80 of 89!

Fomo Lacquer is a small batch brand. Usually they run 75 bottles per launch. Amber offers salt scrubs, cuticle oils, and nail polish jewelry along with the polish every month. Launches are once a month and it’s always a surprise date! Like today was her August launch. It has already sold out lol! I think my favorite thing about this brand is that it’s all so unique. You definitely will not find polishes like Fomo‘s anywhere else. ok last thing. Amber offers free shipping over $15! There is an option to “tip” them to help make up for the cost of free shipping but it is not required. Such an awesome brand! I cannot wait to see what Fomo Has in store for the future! I will leave the links below but keep in mind that the shop is only open as long as she has stuff to sell. Once it is sold out that’s it. I hope you all get the chance to try her polish. I didn’t even mention it before but the formula was great. Can’t wait til my no buy is over so I can try another Fomo Lacquer! I hope you all have a fantastic evening. Thanks so much for stopping by ❤

Glisten & Glow ~ July 2022 PPU Rewind

*These polishes were provided for review the first time around. All of my swatches/pictures are using my original bottles.

Hello! Can you believe it’s almost July??? I mean, where has this year gone so far? The only good thing about going into a new month is PPU! This month is rewind so let’s get right into what’s available and where.

Minty Fresh is a white based flakie crelly with mint and blue metallic flakes. I love this one and have worn it a few times since it came out. This one will be available in Jill’s shop for the month of July. Formula is wonderful, still! I used 3 thin coats Plus G&G Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat for my swatches.

Cats & Bats is a very vampy and mysterious dark, dark purple almost black jelly polish filled with iridescent flakes that shift from dark blue to purple and iridescent flakes that shift from pink/red/orange/green/gold. Added holo flakes and holo sparkle round out this beauty. This shifty polish is wonderful. Vampy is absolutely right! Formula is flakie filled but pretty smooth. I used 3 thin coats plus G&G Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat for my swatches.

Glitter Grabber is an amazing product that gets applied after any glitter or flakie dense
manicure is done and it’s fully dry and before your top coat. It aids in creating a smoother surface for your top coat or matte top coat all while “grabbing” that extra texture!

Directions: After you have applied your glitter or flakie polish and have fully let it dry, you add a nice layer of Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber on top. It is a shiny formula upon application and will add that extra layer of protection and smoothing action to that texture. Allow to fully dry and then add your glossy or matte top coat! It works at grabbing that extra texture that glitter or flakies can have!

In order my pics have No Glitter Grabber or Top Coat/1 coat of Glitter Grabber/1 coat of Glitter Grabber and 1 coat of Top Coat.

If you missed these polishes the first time around NOW is the time to grab them! Cats & Bats and Glitter Grabber will be available on the PPU website July 1st – 4th. Minty Fresh will be available on Glisten & Glow‘s website for the month of July.

Minty Fresh: $12.50 – NO CAP – G&G website

Cats & Bats: $12.50 – NO CAP – PPU website

Glitter Grabber: $8 – NO CAP – PPU website

Glisten & Glow ~ The Blacklight Bash Collection

*These polishes were provided for review

Hey y’all! Back again with some really fun glitter crelly polishes from Jill at Glisten & Glow. This collection, for obvious reasons, is called the Blacklight Bash Collection. Each polish will glow under black light. I had so much fun swatching these. Let’s have a look.

Glow With The Flow! is a white based glitter crelly with neon glitters in light orange, orange, and purple. This will look great layered or over a white base. I like it layered personally. I just love to see the glitter through the layers. This one ended up being my favorite of the group. Formula is great despite the amount of glitter. I used 3 thin coats plus G&G Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat for my swatches.

You Glow Girl! is a white based glitter crelly with smaller neon glitters in pink and blue. I thought for sure this would be my favorite. I still love it don’t get me wrong. It’s a super close second! I love that the glitter is tiny. I love the look that it gives under the blacklight. This will dry with a texture so make sure you grab Glitter Grabber with your purchase! I used 3 thin coats plus G&G Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat for my swatches.

Let’s Glow Crazy! is a white based crelly with smaller neon glitters in yellow and green. This one is really bright under the blacklight! For some reason this makes me think of jellyfish lol. Such a fun polish! Formula is wonderful but it will dry with a slight texture. I used 3 thin coats plus G&G Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat for my swatches.

The Blacklight Bash Collection will be available tomorrow, June 10th at 6pm EST. Each polish will be $10.50 or you can purchase the trio for $30. This collection is a one batch and done type collection so get them while you can! I also suggest pairing these with the Beach, Please Summer Neons from last summer. They are limited as well so hurry! Thanks so much for stopping by ❤

Glisten & Glow ~ Regatta Races Collection

*These polishes were provided for review

Hello my friends! How are we doing? I know it’s only Tuesday but I at least have some pretties to bring you to brighten up your week. Jill is bring you some awesome glitters this summer. The Regatta Races Collection and another 3 piece collection I’ll be bringing you in a few days. For now, let’s check out these gorgeous glitter crellies!

Cowes Week is a white based glitter crelly packed with glitters in various shapes and sizes in light teal, dark teal, yellow, and baby blue. Guys, I cannot choose a favorite. I have worn all of these twice already and I just don’t know which I like more. This has never happened to me before with a full collection. There has always been a clear fav. In short, you’ll have to have them all. Even with all the glitter this polish was nice and smooth. It will dry textured so Glitter Grabber is a must. I used 3 thin coats plus Glisten & Glow’s Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat.

America’s Cup is a white based glitter crelly packed with glitters in various shapes and sizes in red, dark pink, light pink, and blue. I know that a lot of this is pink but you can bet your a** I’ll be wearing this for 4th of July! It is so freaking festive. Super pretty and the holo glitters really catch the eye. Again, this polish was nice and smooth even with the loads of glitter. It will dry textured though so grab that Glitter Grabber! I used 3 thin coats with Glisten & Glow’s Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat.

Vendee’ Globe is a white based glitter crelly packed with glitters in various shapes and sizes in light purple, dark purple, blue, and green. My favorite trio of colors is purple, blue, and green so you would think this would be my definite favorite. I just can’t do it though. You just need them for yourself to make up your own mind lol. You know the rest, good formula, get Glitter Grabber! Seriously Glitter Grabber is a life changing product just like Jill’s Top Coat! I used 3 thin coats plus Glisten & Glow’s Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat.

The Regatta Races Collection will be available June 10th at 6pm EST. Each polish will be $10.50 or you can purchase the whole trio for $30. Don’t sleep on these. It’s a one batch and done type collection so that’s it. I hope you all have a fantastic week y’all! Thanks so much for stopping by<3

Glisten & Glow ~ June 2022 PPU

*These polishes were provided for review

Hey! How’s it going? I am not ok with the fact that June is tomorrow. This year has flown by so far for me. Either way that means that PPU is right around the corner. Jill brings you some fun for the Fairs & Carnivals theme. Let’s check it out.

Carnival Lights & Summer Nights is a blue jelly polish loaded with green/blue/gold iridescent flakes, blue/purple/pink iridescent flakes, and various sizes of neon pink glitters. Jill’s inspiration comes from the breathtaking blue summer night sky at the carnival, as the ferris wheel circles, flashes, and glows those neon light bulbs! I can feel this description. Especially since Jill and I live in the same state. This polish is super fun. Always something to look at. Formula is great for being so flakie packed. I used 3 thin coats with Glisten & Glow’s Glitter Grabber, Top Coat, and Matte Top Coat.

Glisten & Glow’s Top Coat is an award winning fast dry glossy top coat. The benefits are:

  • 2-4 minutes or less and your nails will dry durable and long lasting with days to weeks of no tip wear or chipping!
  • Crystal clear, shiny, glossy, “wet/gel like” appearance
  • Seals and evens glitter and flakie polishes
  • non-smearing for nail art

I used it here over some stamping and a gradient. My wonky stamp was my user error. But you can clearly see there was no smearing or smudging.

Polish Pickup will be open June 3rd until June 6th at 11:59pm EST. Carnival Lights & Summer Nights will be $13 with NO cap. Top Coat will be $8 NO cap. Wish listing is open now so make sure you add these babies. I hope you all have a great rest of your week. Thanks for stopping by ❤

Jessica Cosmetics ~ U Got The Look

*These polishes were provided for review

Hey! How are we all doing? I’m still grieving the loss of my vacation so there’s that lol! Take me back. I will say I am loving the weather all of a sudden. It’s been nice and sunny so I have windows open. I love this time of year so much more this year than ever before. I have been constantly polishing. Like 2 times daily lately and I keep grabbing for the U Got The Look collection from Jessica Cosmetics. Specifically the purples. Let’s check them out.

Paisley Pink is a medium pink creme polish. The Phenom line is very pigmented. These could be one coaters for shorter nails or if you polish thicker. The formula is fantastic. I used the Phenom base coat and the Phenom Finale Shine top coat for all of my swatches and art. This swatch is 2 coats.

Violet Cream is a medium violet creme polish. This one is my favorite. I. Can’t. Stop. Using. This! It’s such a bold shade. Formula is butter. This polish stamps as well as the other two. Just wonderful quality. I used 2 coats with Phenom base coat and Phenom Finale Shine top coat for my swatches.

Purple Reign is a deep violet creme polish. This shade totally compliments the other purple. Such a creamy formula. These are all self leveling. Again, the quality is just top notch. When you’re considering a creme polish, you can’t go wrong with this Phenom line. I used 2 coats plus Phenom base coat and Phenom Finale Shine top coat.

Overall, these are fantabulous. Pigmented, smooth as butter, self leveling, and great for art! The top and base coat are just the cherry on top to be honest. The top coat is great for shine and for not smudging nail art. The base coat leaves an amazing shine with just 1 swipe. The tops also come off to reveal a smaller brush top. Much easier for small hands while polishing. Each polish in this collection as well as the top coat is $11.20. The base coat is $10.78. Everything here is available now so don’t wait to grab these multi use polishes. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Thanks for stopping by ❤

Glisten & Glow ~ Season Of Weddings Collection

*These polishes were provided for review

Hey y’all! Today I have for you a beautiful collection based on wedding season! Were you married this time of year? I was married on March 30th so pretty close! How I wish these were available in 2012 when I got married lol. When I was married I had acrylic nails put on for the last time. It was that set that made me stop biting my nails and then I got into nail polish! Enough with the history lesson. Let’s get to the goods!

Bring On The Bling! is a white based flakie crelly loaded with silver metallic flakes. FAVORITE!!! I can’t even give you a good reason but I just love this one. So simple but so perfect for the occasion. This polish is nice and creamy and lays pretty flat itself. I do recommend Glitter Grabber though since this polish is so flakie dense. I used 3 thin coats plus glossy and matte top coats for my swatches.

Brides & Bubbly is a white based flakie crelly loaded with rose gold metallic flakes. How pretty is this? It definitely gives off a champagney vibe. This color is also so perfect for wedding season. Very feminine and delicate. I used 3 thin coats plus Glitter Grabber and top and matte top coats for my swatches.

I Do! Crew is a white based flakie crelly loaded with copper metallic flakes. This is an edgy wedding polish. I love the antique feel of the copper flakes. This polish will make a great fall mani as well. Wonderful formula on this one just like the rest. 3 thin coats plus Glitter Grabber, top coat and matte top coats for my swatches.

Better Together is a white based flakie crelly loaded with purple metallic flakes. This is my second favorite. I am actually wearing this as I type! This one is fun and will work for any season. Super pretty. I used 3 thin, perfect coats plus Glitter Grabber, top coat and matte top coats for my swatches.

All of these polishes have a fantastic formula and lay pretty flat for being so full of flakies. That being said, I still highly recommend Glitter Grabber before your top coat. It will just give you that glass like finish. Each of these polishes will be $11. Or you could save a few dollars and buy the whole Season Of Weddings collection for $40. The collection will be available Friday May 13th at 7pm EST. This is a limited edition quad so don’t miss out! Have a great day y’all! Thanks for stopping by ❤

Jessica Cosmetics ~ Beauty In Bloom

*These polishes were provided for review

Hello! How are we all doing? I’m back with a fabulous spring collection from Jessica Cosmetics. Beauty In Bloom consists of 6 creme polishes in some bold beautiful shades. Let’s jump right in!

Hydrangea is a super light pale peach creme polish. I was very pleasantly surprised by how shiny all of these cremes dry! Because of the streaky nature of these very light polishes I used 3 coats for my swatches with JC Phenom Finale Shine Top Coat and a matte top coat.

Camellia is a soft pink creme with peach undertones. This is such a beautiful color. I couldn’t wait to put some art on it! Good formula but I still used 3 thin coats plus JC Phenom Finale Shine Top Coat and a matte top coat for my swatches.

Forget Me Not is a baby blue creme polish. I didn’t expect it but this one is my favorite. Perfect formula. And again, super shiny before adding top coat! I used 2 thin coats plus JC Phenom Finale Shine Top Coat and a matte top coat for my swatches.

Queen Of The Meadow is a chocolate milk colored creme polish. I love this one. Almost could be a 1 coater. Super smooth and creamy formula. I used 2 thin coats plus JC Phenom Finale Shine Top Coat and a matte top coat for my swatches.

Dahlia is a bright coral creme polish. This one is nice and bright. Perfect for spring and summer. Wonderful formula as well. 2 coats with JC Phenom Finale Shine Top Coat and a matte top coat for my swatches.

Morning Glory is a deep blue creme polish. I love dark blues like this. Formula was amazing. 2 coats plus JC Phenom Finale Shine Top Coat and a matte top coat for my swatches.

Overall, I love this collection. Who doesn’t love a good creme polish. Next I will see if they water marble. I have already stamped with them so that definitely works! I used the Jessica Cosmetics base coat for every mani as well. The base coat is a great quick dry, shiny base. The Phenom Finale Shine Top Coat was great. Shiny, quick drying, and it didn’t smear my art too bad. I would definitely recommend both the Phenom base and top coats. These polishes are 7 free, cruelty free, and vegan friendly. Each polish is $10 and they are available now so don’t wait! Links will be below. Thanks for stopping by ❤
